 Graduating
from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1967 James R. Huntsman
worked for various local funeral homes as a funeral director. The
Huntsman Rochester Funeral Home was established in 1973, when James
R. Huntsman purchased the funeral home from W. Dale Coleman. Dale
Coleman started his business in the 1930’s, and built the current
location in 1954 as a funeral home.
Looking to expand, in 1982 James R. Huntsman purchased the Aliquippa
Funeral Home from William F. Maiden. William Maiden started the Aliquippa
funeral home in 1962. For almost 30 years James R. Huntsman owned,
operated, and maintained these two funeral homes.
Now with both children coming into the business, he is further expanding
Huntsman Funeral Homes to a third location at 1522 Coraopolis Heights
Road in Moon Township, PA.
Having over 36 years of experience as a funeral director, James will
bring dignified, affordable funeral services to the people of Moon
